The journal Historia is intended as a platform for research in the field of general history written in Hebrew. The lack of an appropriate platform led to the distancing of this field from the general public with an interest in the discipline of history. Each issue deals with various aspects of a specific subject. The majority of the contributors to this journal are Israeli scholars and the Israeli experience is implicitly and explicitly imprinted in their work. Historia, a biannual publication, was first published in 1998. Thirty seven volumes have been published to date.
Editors: Prof. Billie Melman, Prof. Yuri Pines, Prof. Alexander Yakobson and Prof. Joseph Ziegler. Editorial Secretary: Talia Yakir.
Articles submitted to the editorial board for publication undergo rigorous peer review by top-ranking scholars, as is customary in scientific journals around the world.
Historia usually does not accept for publication articles that have been previously published elsewhere.
Only members of the Historical Society of Israel may submit articles for publication in this journal. Join the Historical Society of Israel.
