Every year, the Historical Society of Israel awards prizes to high school students who have written outstanding research papers in a variety of fields of history. An academic committee, using the most rigorous criteria, judges the final theses, which are equivalent to five matriculation units. In recent years, the works that have won awards have demonstrated a high level of knowledge and made a real contribution to historical research.
