Bread and Wine: Food in History

Due to the COVID19 outbreak, the conference was held via Zoom, on November 17,2020 and included approximately 200 participants. The conference theme, historical aspects of food, has garnered considerable attention by researchers in recent years. Due to food’s centrality in the human life, the topic allowed the examining of other meaningful historical phenomena in other areas. The lectures dealt with the topic through the local lens and talked about topics related to food that are rooted in recent original historical research.

Participation in the conference was open to historians and researchers from adjacent fields of research. The conference was open to the general public and about 200 people participated throughout the day.
