Prizes for Outstanding Books On Eastern European Countries and Jewish Life There

The Historical Society of Israel is pleased to announce prizes for outstanding books on the study of Eastern European countries and Jewish life there.

Authors of books published in the past five years, in Hebrew or English, whose focus is the history of Eastern European countries and Jewish life there, are invited to submit entries for the prizes.

To submit an entry, please send the following documents to the email address below:

  1. Curriculum vitae and contact information.
  2. A letter from the nominee detailing the book’s contribution to the study of Eastern European countries and Jewish life there.
  3. Three copies of the book to the following address:

Or submit directly to our office: 2 Beitar Street, Beit Hatayelet, Jerusalem.

On the package, please indicate: Submission for the Professor Ezra Mendelsohn Memorial Prize and the Professor Jonathan Frankel Memorial Prize.
